The Library

Books,magazines,newspapers,

All nicely stacked,waiting for readers,

The librarian,Mrs Jones,clad in a dress,

Welcomes me with a short address,

The Library is a quiet place,my dear,

The silence of books,we hear,

They wake up from their sleep,

When readers pick them up to read;

Mrs Jones knows my love for poetry books,

I go straight to them, with adept looks.

In the picture, the Wood Green Central Library, fifteen minutes ‘ walk from where we live in Wood Green or five minutes by W3,the bus.

We bought the house when our son started his university studies. The choice went for Wood Green mainly because of the library. We had inculcated the love for books in our children from an early age.

A library is quiet and the best place to relax with a book of our choice.The peaceful vibes fill our whole being with a need to acquire knowledge about things,people,countries, habits,customs and, much more that we can only find in books and nowhere else.

Readers of poetry books will find a copy of my book Soul Poetry Inspirational Poems,Verses and Quotes at the Wood Green Library ๐Ÿ“š

Happy reading! Happy Spring Break ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒฑโ˜˜๏ธ๐ŸŒทโ˜˜๏ธ

Creative and inspirational writer of stories, poetry, and haikus I am also an addictive reader of novels, poetry, haiku, and children's storybooks. I am the author of SOUL POETRY a book of inspirational poems, verses, and quotes published by Partridge India (2015) The Maker of Miracles (2006) published in the USA by Dorrance Publishing and My Journey with God (2008) published under the banner of Sai Towers, India is the narration about my spiritual journey. My new poetry book INK Echo of life and love published by ร‰ditions de Lโ€™Ocean Indien (2019) in Mauritius, my birth country is a collection of love poems extolling the feelings and desires of women. The Princess and the Crow is my first storybook for children, released by Austin Macauley Publishers London in March 2019. Two years later, I was inspired to write and published two other books - WAKASHIO, a storybook for children, and PINK MOON - AN ANTHOLOGY OF HAIKU POEMS. I love to write. I guess my writing has a special clichรฉ of island ๐ŸŒด life, natural, unpretentious, and full of beauty.

  1. Libraries are among my favourite places in the world. In my own city I’m trying to visit every public library. And even when I travel I’ve taken to visiting libraries wherever I go. It is something of a window in to the people of wherever I go – or at least to the readers. I know on one trip in the US, I felt relatively bored with the city I was in and didn’t think much of it. But then I went to their library and got a whole new perspective. This city had to be filled with interesting people if there was such a big and beautiful library here.

    1. Thank you for the response,Todd. We have many more libraries in London. I know almost all of them. Yes, every country has their own libraries and their own interesting people.
