INK Echo of life and love

But words are things,

And a small drop of ink,

Falling like dew,

Upon a thought,

Produces that which makes,

Thousands ,perhaps millions,think.

Lord Byron

My poetry book INK Echo of life and love (2019) was publicly released, launched and unveiled on 10 April 2019 at the Hennessy Park Hotel in Mauritius.

INK is my second poetry book. It’s a fusion of classic and modern poems of all genres.

Ink is associated from time immemorial with the art of writing and calligraphy.

Words when spoken are ephemeral; words when written are eternal.

My work is divided in three parts.

The first part Power of Love consists of love poems that conveys to the reader the adage ‘at the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.’ Irrespective of age, gender, color of skin, everybody falls in love.

Power of Words, the second part, is the expression of deep rooted feelings, emotions and sentiments in writing.

In the third part, Power of Delusion, the reader will find poems about impossible love, infatuation, deception, disloyalty and break ups.

My poems are daring, straightforward and thought provoking. I couldn’t write them if I were not sincere, if I did not believe in myself and in you!

I wrote them for poetry lovers and for you, my dear reader.

Happy International Children’s Book Day

2 APRIL is a very important date for writers of children ‘s books. So it is for me, a debut writer of children’s books.

Since 1967,on or about Hans Christian Anderson’s birthday ,2 April, International Children’s Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated to inspire the love of books in children and to call attention to children’s books.

Activities on this special day include writing competitions, announcements of books awards and events of children’s literature.

Parents are encouraged to read to their children at home, to stimulate their love of books for children, to encourage literacy and arouse the growth of their imagination.

My readers may call this a coincidence but I did receive by courier from Austin Macauley Publishers London the author’s copies of my newly released children’s book on the 2 April.

The Princess and the Crow was officially published on 29 March.
