White Flowers in the Night

Take me with you,

To a land where white flowers

Bloom in the night,

Where moths freely die in the light,

As I bloom and I die in your favors;

Take me with you,

Keep me close to you,

As the scent of white flowers

Invigorate the breath of lovers,

And I write with the ink of your eyes,

These petals of poetry,

Chaste as white flowers in the night.

The Princess and the Crow is my first storybook for children, released by Austin Macauley Publishers London in March 2019. Two years later, I was inspired to write and published two other books - WAKASHIO, a storybook for children, and PINK MOON - AN ANTHOLOGY OF HAIKU POEMS. I love to write. I guess my writing has a special cliché of island 🌴 life, natural, unpretentious, and full of beauty.

    1. Thank you so much dear. The white flowers in the picture are not ‘raat ke rani’ but they are as lovely. Raat ke rani is the Hindi appellation for the Jasmine. Correct me if I am wrong.
      I am amazingly inspired by the flower pictures that my wats app friend clicks and posts to me from Rajasthan. I am prompted to jot down image poetry.
      I am glad you like the poem. I am motivated to write more if and when more pictures come my way.
      Happy end of the week
