The Night Train of Nagaur
How to tell you,
What is more painful than a blast in the ear,
More painful than a suppressed tear,
More painful than the whistle of a train,I hear;
How to tell you,
Nothing is more painful than your leave,
Feigning that without you I can live;
How to tell you,
What is a beloved without the lover,
Or a lover without the beloved,
Or me without you, or you without me;
How to tell you,
What is the sky without a moon,
Or a moon without the sky,
Or me without you, or you without me.

How to tell you
How to tell you,
What is sweeter than a drop of honey,
Sweeter than a grain of sugar,
Sweeter than the juice of a strawberry;
How to tell you,
Nothing is sweeter than your tongue,
Melting like ice in my mouth;
How to tell you,
What is a flower without a bumble bee,
Or a bumble bee without a flower,
Or me without you, or you without me.

Short Story ‘ Service is Worship. Truth is God.’
Zillions of pilgrims flock to Kasi, where there is a shrine of Lord Shiva. It is believed that those who visit this sacred place will gain āmokshaā liberation and will escape the cycle of life and death. They will, in other words, win a place in Kailasa, the abode of Shiva.
Ā In Kailasa, Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva, apprehensively, asked the Lord
āSo many people are worshipping you in Kasi, but will Kailasa be big enough to accommodate all of them?ā
Lord Shiva replied
Ā āAll of them cannot come to Kailasa, dear! I will design a drama and show you the folks who will win my Grace and ultimately come to Kailasa. We will both act in this drama.ā
Lord Shiva and Parvati then disguised themselves and came down to Kasi. Parvati, as a shriveled old hag, sat on the step of the Shiva temple and Lord Shivaā¦

The Night of Shiva in Mauritius
In spiritual life, each aspirant seeks and appeases his spiritual hunger according to his belief, taste or talent.Ā
Grand Bassin, dotingly called āGanga Talaoā, is a Crater Lake situate in a secluded mountain area in the South of Mauritius. Nestled deep in the core recess of the heart of the island, Grand Bassin is recognized as a sacred lake and a replica of the Holy Ganges by the Hindu populace. Ā Every year, thousands of pilgrims from the four corners of the island converge to its precincts; they collect the sacred water of the lake, to offer to Lord Shiva, on the occasion of Maha Shivratree or āThe Night of Shivaā. This year, the Night of Shiva is celebrated on 24 February. Zealous pilgrims from the north, the east and the west have started to trek to the south since Friday last, blessed by the intermittent drizzles of the rainy season.

Be a Song!
I virtually rushed to Devotional Group Singing at the Sai Centre that Thursday. On my way, I found it hard to switch my mind from the application of article 42 of the Convention on The Rights of Children, which at work I had to consider in an adoption case, to the more stress-free devotional singing.
As everything happens according to the Sankalpa (the Will of the Lord), the main bhajan singers had not turned up. They are the singers who attend bhajan training and they lead the devotional songs at the Sai Centre. Others, mostly working women that included me, sing in chorus. The āBhajan Convenerā and the musicians arrived; a list of devotional songs was hastily drawn and handed over to the Convener. He looked at the list.
He turned to me and asked me to sing a song as he knew that I sangā¦

Happy Teddy Day
I close my eyes and I smile,
I think of my teddy by my side,
How chummy can we be,
Under the shower,
When we lather up each other playfully,
And,slurp the water running down our body;
On the bed,
When we touch every part of each other,
And,discover the joy of connubial intimacy;
Every thought of you,
The vegetable biryani we share,
The ride in the auto in the busy fair,
The transience of our meeting,
When you come home from the city,
The farewell,
When you leave to catch the night train,
The helpless look in your beautiful eyes,
A selfie, a promise to remain truthful,
No matter what, the lure,the pull;
My sweet hubby,
As I sit down to milk the cow in the shed,
I recall I am your Chocolaty milkmaid,
The girl from a faraway village,
In your book of fairies, a page;
Illiterate, Iā¦

Happy š Day
Your lips have not touched mine,
Your searing eyes mime,
What your heart cannot hold;
Should I seal with a kiss š
Receive your love or dismiss,
What my heart ā¤ļø cannot hold.
