Yakamoz – A Poem by Anita Bacha
On a fleeting mystic night
In the sleepy waters of the sea
I behold a stunning yakamoz
Alluring ripples of silver and light blue floating
Bewitched by the sight
I drown myself in her beguiling soul
Anita Bacha
‘Yakamoz’ is a Japanese word meaning the reflection of the moon on the surface of water, it can be a lake,a river or the sea or any other expanse of water.
I have just learned this word.It strikes me by its beauty.

Charity begins at home
If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to?
If I had a million dollars that I have earned by a lifetime hard work, I would give it to my grandchildren.

The Fall – Tanka – A Poem by Anita Bacha
Blowing strong winds
Robed in auburn leaves
The Fall dances
Moving on lonely
Embracing the change

Whorling Auburn Leaves – Tanka – A Short Poem by Anita Bacha
Whorling auburn leaves
Whispers of autumn embrace
Summer bids farewell
Radiance of the sun fades
Scented chrysanthemum blooms

Silent Sentinel – Haiku – A Poem by Anita Bacha
A perched observer
The crow watches the traffic –
Silent sentinel

Golden Rays – Tanka – A Poem by Anita Bacha
Golden rays emerge
Blushing luster on your face
A gleam in your eyes
Extrapolate in tandem
Worth zillion stars in the sky

Legacy – A Poem by Anita Bacha
In her steps,I tread
Her love a guiding light
With every word she said
She showed me what is right
Lovely as a summer day
She taught me by example
In her own gentle caring way
Her wisdom a precious sample
I picked her pen when she left
Her legacy in my hands
In my poems and in my writes
My mom’s spirit forever stands
Anita Bacha
