Confinement Florets

Mimosas blossom

Feature of the break of Spring

Light rain starts to fall

Mimosas Blossoms

Camellias in bloom

Sparrows sing a lovely song –

Buddha awakens

Camellias in bloom

Feeble butterfly

Struggles out of its cocoon –

Bloom opens its folds

Monday morning blues

I try to follow the ant –

I land on a rose

Rose

Sunflowers stand proud

Under the scorching midday sun –

Petals as soft as pain

Sunflowers

Written during second lockdown in Mauritius, these haiku florets and others to come, keep me sane and healthy.

Roses for all seasons

Pretty yellow rose,

Sunbathing in the courtyard,

Intruder fly bites!

Yellow rose London summer

Exquisite pink rose,

Flaunts her fresh,youthful beauty,

In the spring of life.

Garden rose London Spring

In the morning rain,

Bruised dust-pink rose shivers,

On a bed of thorns.

Late summer rose Stratford London

Frail rose bud petals,

Burn in blaze of dry season ,

Thirsting for rain drops.

Rose bud in dry season,Rajasthan

Lush garden roses,

Half-blossom bends to her weight ,

Till the last fold falls!

Summer scarlet rose.Mauritius

SPRING IS HERE

With a magic splash of fresh paints,
Trees and plants
Grim and dark,
With a spark
Into emerald green, are changed,
Donned is the sky in glistening blue,
Splendid and meek, the golden sun
Flirts jauntily,
Budding flowers kissing delicately
Coaxing beauty in the fun;
As spring plays with colors,
With the melodious songs of birds,
With the waltz of cheery butterflies,
With the noble heart of man,
New hopes, like fresh petals unbolt,
Blossoming gaily in the garden of life.
