Every moment is a day Every day is a moment Life brings joy et al and its share of downfall Life is empty without its spontaneity As we grow old our perspectives evolve Autumn’s rose petals fall for spring buds to sprout Life doesn’t mean to possess life means to let go
Why ask the rose?
From the bud to the sparkling full bloom
From the full bloom to the withering rose, the rose tells her story
Each stage of our life has a story to tell similar to the rose
Fervor of first kiss
Innocent as a mistake
Blush of a pink rose
Ardor of first crush
Burning fire rising to flame
Whiff of a red rose
A single pink rose
In my lone winter garden
Rich with love fragrance
Wanting to flower
Like the morning rose
Living life anew
A burnt orange rose
Pressed between crumbling pages
Inundated flower beds
Petals soak in tears
Cyclone is blowing
Roses lamentably fall
Thank you for viewing and for reading, my dear friends and readers!
Happy Mother’s Day! Sharing a poem dedicated to my mother who passed at the age of 42 after a long illness of innumerable years.
She was walking on the beach A long skirt hiding her knees Dotted with tiny blue florets A white linen blouse flattened her bosom Prude, She never wore a bathing suit
Immaculate as the sunset Pretty as a picture Mysterious as the sea Smiling to herself Poetic, in love, sweet, A dreamer She fell in love only once People said The blessed day was her wedding day
A long trail of foot steps She left Printed in the moist sand In joyous innocence Behind her I walked Placing my steps One by one in her wake She was the apple of my eye! She was my mother! She is my inspiration!
A well kept secret is this flower
That did not bloom in the blue grass
Today the sky is deep green,
The grass is sapphire blue,
I walk up the heath,
To say a last farewell to you,
A well kept secret is this flower,
That didn’t bloom in the blue grass,
Yet its sweet fragrance will linger,
As far as memories will last.

In the picture below, children are reading at home. Home is where education begins. When we teach our children to read and write, we open their eyes to the beautiful people and things in the whole world around them.
The second picture is that of the Noble Prize Winner of Literature in 1913, Rabindranath Tagore.
‘The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.’ Rabindranath Tagore
